Mentoring
-
Adult - Compromised of members who are currently on probation, ex-convicts, and those who have been referred through other agencies. Adults will participate in strategic curriculum based group sessions that will help empower them through their struggles and difficulties. This program focuses on social, emotional, and profesional development. This program takes place every Tuesday evening from 6 pm - 7 pm located at The New Life Training Center (3501 Edison Hwy, Bakersfield, CA 93307).

Youth - Our youth mentoring program matches at - risk young people with adult volunteers. Youth that are struggling in school, facing problems at home or experiencing issues in their neighborhood can be referred by parents, teachers, counselors, therapists, social workers, and other professionals.

Recreational - This program is designed to help men come together from all walks of life to be able to participate in recreational activities. This program focuses on developing sportsmanship and also how to deal with controversy in a proper and respectful manner. This program takes place every Sunday at 9am-11:30am at located at 1001 Roberts Lane, Bakersfield, CA 93308 (Beardsley Jr. High School).

Youth Mentoring - Serving youth in Bakersfield, our mentoring program matches youth with adult volunteers. The youth in our program are referred by parents, teachers, counselors, therapist, social workers, and other youth professionals. Our youth are "at risk," meaning they may be facing problems at home with their families, struggling at school, or experiencing issues in their neighborhood. These young people are ages 8-17 and are in need of positive and supportive adults in their lives. Volunteer mentors serve as a friend and role model, making a significant and measurable difference in a young person's self-esteem, social skills, school performance, and decision-making skills. This program takes place every Thursday evening at 5pm-7pm located at 1330 3rd street, Bakersfield, CA 93304

Tutoring - The Wendale Davis Foundation staff addresses the risk factors of academic failure in school. Older, more advanced students provide one-on-one, supportive tutoring in a variety of subjects fore and or after school to younger and acedemically less proficient students. Professional teachers oversee the program and create the proper curriculums for the program. This program takes place every Thursday at 5pm-7pm located at 1330 rd street, Bakersfield, CA 93304

Enrichment Program- This program was created to assist in all aspects of the personal growth of an individuals that attend this program are inspired to bring out the best within themselves. This program takes place every Friday from 7 pm - 8 pm at 4201 Wilson Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93304, Central Seventh Day Adventist Church.
